Wellness is not just about being free of diseases and illness, it involves both physical and mental and social wellbeing. It is one realizing of their true abilities and potential to live a healthy, gratifying, more stable and composed life. It is the quality or state of being healthy in body and mind, especially as the result of deliberate effort.

Emotional wellness involves one having a good understanding of one’s emotions and managing stress effectively. It is essential for one to be attentive when it comes to self-care and relaxation and also trying to grow and learn from experience. It could be defined as the potention to having awareness of our personal feelings, coping with them and not being in denial, looking at alife from a positive perspective despite it always disappointing us. Environmental wellness encourages us to live a lifestyle that respects our surrounding and inspires us to live in harmony and taking care of the environment. This promotes our interaction with nature and personal environment. Spiritual wellness means knowing which resources and habits to use to cope up with issues that come up in life.

Financial wellness is the ability of a person to be able to manage their finances according to their expenses and needs. Money at many times is found to be the leading cause of stress among people. When one is financially stable and able to pay bills, they are always at peace compared to when they are experiencing constraints financially.

Intellectual wellness is one’s ability of open mindness and being able to accept new ideas when approaching a situation, it also involves gaining new and more knowledge through education.

Occupational wellness enables one to achieve satisfaction and enrichment from their jobs. Social wellness allows us develop networks not only with our peers but also other people, work with others comfortably and play our roles in the society effectively.

Optimal physical wellness is achieved through the combination of beneficial physical activity and healthy eating habits.
